Summer on the Move

Summer has officially arrived, and around here that means one thing—market season is in full swing.

Over the past few weeks, we've loaded up the cars and hit the road to share our wines with communities throughout Eastern Iowa. Recently, we had the opportunity to participate in the Marion Farmers Market, and as always, it was a treat meeting new people, catching up with familiar faces, and introducing folks to our wines—and the people behind them.

One of my favorite parts of market season is hearing people's stories. Some have visited the winery before, while others are tasting our wine for the very first time. It's always fun watching someone discover a new favorite wine or hearing that they plan to make a trip out to the winery soon.

Last year, we enjoyed spending time in Dubuque, and this summer we're excited to set up at the Ely Farmers Market on June 23. Every market is a little different, but they all share one thing in common: community. We love getting out into the area, meeting people where they are, and sharing a little piece of the winery beyond our vineyard.

Of course, there's plenty happening back at the winery, too.

Father's Day is just around the corner, and we're excited to welcome the Jones County Cattlemen back to the grill. They'll be serving up ribeye sandwiches with macaroni salad and baked beans on the side—the kind of meal Dad will definitely appreciate. Add a glass of wine, some time with family, and a relaxing afternoon at the winery, and you've got the makings of a pretty great Father's Day.

Whether you visit us at a market or at the winery, thank you for supporting local businesses and Iowa wineries. We truly enjoy sharing what we do with all of you, and we look forward to seeing familiar faces—and meeting new ones—all summer long.

Cheers,

Judy
