Wine, Travel & Making Memories Along the Way
There’s something special about discovering a place through its food, wine, and local culture.
I've always believed some of life's best experiences happen when we're willing to try something new. Sometimes that's a new wine. Sometimes it's a new destination.
Travel gives us the opportunity to step outside of our routines, meet new people, explore new places, and experience the stories that make each community unique. It's one of the reasons I love visiting wineries when I travel—every vineyard has its own personality, history, and approach to hospitality.
Just like wine, travel is about the experience. It's about the memories we make along the way and the people we share them with.
That's why Dan and I are so excited to be hosting a group trip to Grapevine, Texas, February 18–22, 2027.
Known for its rich history, vibrant downtown, and growing wine scene, Grapevine offers the perfect blend of relaxation, exploration, and adventure. During our five-day getaway, we'll experience everything from historic attractions and local entertainment to unique dining experiences and, of course, wine.
The trip includes a visit to Messina Hof Winery, where we'll enjoy a chocolate and wine experience, along with a hands-on wine blending class. We'll explore Historic Downtown Grapevine, ride the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, visit the Nash Farm, and spend time getting to know the local culture that makes the area so unique.
We'll also venture into Fort Worth to experience the famous Stockyards, watch a cattle drive, and enjoy dinner, live music, and dancing at the legendary Billy Bob's Texas.
This trip is especially meaningful because we'll be traveling alongside my longtime friend, Kathy Leesekamp of Pathfinder Group Travel. Kathy and I have shared years of friendship, laughter, adventures, and more memories than I could possibly count. When the opportunity came up to combine our love of travel, people, and creating memorable experiences, it felt like a perfect fit.
Kathy has a true passion for helping people experience the joy of travel. She takes care of the planning and details so travelers can focus on enjoying the journey, the destination, and the people they're sharing it with. I couldn't think of a better person to guide this adventure.
For me, this trip isn't just about visiting Texas—it's about sharing an experience with friends, both old and new, and creating memories together along the way.
If you've been looking for a fun getaway, enjoy wine, love exploring new places, or simply want to travel with a great group of people, we'd love to have you join us.

Judy
