From "I Do" to Vendor Markets

There's never really such a thing as an "ordinary" week around the winery, but every once in a while, one comes along that's especially memorable. The past week was certainly one of them.

On August 1, we hosted our first full wedding rental, and what an incredible milestone it was for Lubben Vineyards. It was exciting to see every part of the winery come together to host such a special day. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing team, whose hard work, flexibility, and teamwork helped make the day memorable not only for Jason and Angie, but for everyone in attendance. We wish them a lifetime of happiness as they begin this new chapter together.

Once the wedding festivities came to a close, it was back to balancing the many hats that come with running family businesses. Between spending time working in the office for Lubben Accounting, checking in on the vineyards, and preparing for another busy weekend at the winery, there was no shortage of work to be done.

We also had the opportunity to take Lubben Vineyards on the road once again. This week included wine tastings at Uptown Monticello in Monticello and the Taste of Summer event at the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium in Dubuque. Meeting new people, sharing our wines, and introducing guests to the winery is always one of my favorite parts of these events. It's exciting to watch someone discover Lubben Vineyards for the first time, and we hope many of those new faces find their way back to visit us in Anamosa.

The week wrapped up with another successful Vendor Market at the winery, and what a busy day it turned out to be! Our vendors welcomed a steady stream of visitors throughout the day, and the atmosphere couldn't have been better. To top it all off, we had not one, but two Dougs providing live music, keeping everyone entertained while they shopped, visited, and enjoyed a glass of wine.

We're also excited to share that two familiar favorites, Timeless and Nellie Belle, will soon be making their return to the winery. We know many of you have been waiting patiently, and we can't wait to have them back on our shelves. Stay tuned—we'll be sharing more details soon!

As I look back on the week, I'm reminded that every event, every tasting, and every conversation helps write another chapter in the story of Lubben Vineyards. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our family, our staff, our local vendors, and our winery. We truly couldn't do it without you.

Cheers,

Judy
